Currently, most monitors and video cards display at most 32 bit color and that means 4,294,967,296 colors are displayed, varying from Reds to Violets (Hues), Saturation or Intensity of a Color, and its Darkness or Lightness. Still, with these numbers of colors a display can offer, the web still considers colors that are safe, just like in printing a color should be part in a gamut or in range of colors that is available for printing. If one still uses colors that are not web ‘safe’, a display will do its best to show the color to its nearest available ‘safe’ color. The discrepancy between the two colors if we should try to consider is unnoticeable to slight noticeable. But if you are the one who values color to be displayed that must be accurate to be shown in the web, then he should consider the colors he choose to be ‘safe’.

COLOR SYSTEMS
There are color systems that you may consider. These color systems may guide you in designing and create harmonious colors that you will implement in the design. These color systems include RGB (Red-Green-Blue), CYMK (Cyan-Yellow-Magenta-BlacK), HSV (Hue-Saturation-Value), HSL (Hue-Saturation-Lightness).

RGB

The RGB color systems are mostly implemented in designing software, since most monitors (LCDs and CRTs) used RGB color system in displaying colors. Most designs are not usually to publish but to display on the web, so they may refer to the RGB color system to accurately display designs through web.

CYMK

CYMK color profile is usually followed by someone who will implement it to publish. CYMK which stands Cyan-Yellow-Magenta-Black are the four-color printing on most printing presses and on their printers’ ink. Compared to RGB, CYMK is hard to display the accurate color. CYMK technique used toning in producing intermediate colors, not just compared to RGB which uses mixing.

HSV and HSL

HSV and HSL are somewhat derivatives of RGB (Hues) with added Saturation, Value and Lightness. The difference between them is that Value is the transformation of color to darkness (black), and Lightness is the transformation of the color to white. This is implemented since most designers consider Saturation, Value and Lightness in their designs. It is easy for the designers to use them to get the accurate color they needed.

Implementation of colors in Editing Software

Most editing software uses these most color profiles, and employs and represent them in an intuitive way. Editing Software, now, are flexible to the needs of the users. The designers of the software already know what their users needed, it’s either their users are desktop publishers or web designers. In saving in the file in an original file types, it is easy for the software to read their color profiles since it is embedded in the software for converting them to other profiles.
Whenever you have any designs to implement, you do not need to worry what color profiles to be used. The only thing to keep in mind is that the final output must be in their respective color profiles if you want accurate colors (or not! Since the difference may not be too visible if you weren’t following). But it is recommended to follow these ruling to aid yourself and others get what their wanted.

Selection Of Nice Web Fonts: Handwritten Typefaces

var owHost = (("https:" == document.location.protocol) ? And the choices are plain old boring ones. Wait! I correct myself, these fonts are made for the general audience. They are not boring or a cliche, it is just that you are limited to it in using to the contents so that anyone can access the texts and provide faster loading times. You may also consider converting the texts to images so that the preferred choice of fonts can be easily viewed to the web. Mostly these usages are commonly for the use on typographical layout of the page, and emphasizes the subject, mostly includes headers and titles. The next thing to do is the choice of fonts to be included in the designs.

'Handwritten' Typefaces

Agent Orange

This is included with the ones that I liked. If you implementing some kind of handwritten designs, this font I suggest is worth using. Many used the simple-yet-unique designs on their layout particularly blog designs that create a personal feel. You can download it here for free Agent Orange

Ashley

Another handwritten typeface for another personal feel. This is one cursive which unconsciously ordinary write most on any piece of paper.
Ashley
You can also try Catholic School Girls, another 'handwritten' typeface

Catholic School Girls

Dad Hand

This is more kinda child-like design, mostly preferably on educational organization purposes. This appeals to the reader the sincere feeling of the subject.
Dad hand
If you like Dad Hand, i can also refer to you Eager Naturalist

Eager Naturalist

Kaela

Kaela is something that somehow that disturbs-our-childhood feeling. This shows an inscription typography, usually written on the rocks or carved by the wood. Whatever you use it, its your choice.
Kaela

Nerdproof

Now this one is kinda disturbing, actually, if you want to grab attention the audience, why not choose typefaces that either trigger good or bad to them. Nerdproof makes something a worthwhile use.
Nerdproof

Sakurachan

This isn't some kind of Japanese calligraphy but a more intimate one. Sakurachan is like blotted pen that is still used for taking down notes. Nostalgic
Sakurachan

Santos Dumont

Have you ever had any Shakespearean letter tucked in your old piles? Of course no, but this handwritten typeface causes some images of 18th century bourgeoisie.
Santos Dumont
You can also try Lescueleras

Lescueleras

Virginie

Virginie is somewhat in a hurry. This typeface needs attention after in a hurry. Sometimes, whenever someone in a rush, they would tend to miss out the details, leaving them troubled later - taking them a little time to understand what they wrote.
Virginie

Okay, these were still the ones I've list so far. I'll be back for another fonts. Really, I really have fun time looking up the net for these fonts and then bookmark them (not just bookmark but also downloaded them) Try adding these vocabulary of handwritten type fonts in your designs. Don't worry they are all free.

Resources:
1001FreeFonts
SimplytheBest/Fonts
UrbanFonts

'Fixed' Design Ideas for Implementation : Careful Planning

var owHost = (("https:" == document.location.protocol) ? And when we come to implement it, changes may happen whether we liked it or not. And in the end, there should be two outcomes: you liked it or not. To better understand what ideas should really be generated, a careful planning of the design should be discussed.

Many of us have encountered many projects before, and of course not all of them meets your standards or for the other. Projects may be motivating if we are in high spirits or some factors included behind it (consider your personal relationships, but in case it haven't been worked out, one thing is for sure, never put the blame on your work - and this is an effective word of advice that the personal life and work should never be done at the same time unless if its healthy). Again, if we consider the factors behind it then we will always depend on it. Let us just take away the idea in this context.
First, the idea pops out in our minds and is left for us if we continue it or, anyways, come up for a better idea. Next, assuming we already have the idea and readily suggest it with the others, chances are some of them may contradict to it or may agree to it if its good or you are the boss of the company. We should also consider that the word group exists is that a number of persons act as one. Being the bossy type or else a mediocre one would mean that you aren't part of the 'working' group. Let's go back, if you and your group shouldn't settle the disagreement, then the idea is vulnerable to changes. Keep in mind that the careful planning of the design should be made, like any other projects: a good initiation is a good start for working it. In here, the design is carefully planned and enumerate the requirements, define the scopes and boundaries, cost/risks and benefits analysis and properly document to support the idea. Present it to the group with confidence to let them know that your sincere. If anyone somehow opens up another idea, don't react to it immediately, be open-minded and hear what the other has to offer. Of course, we will always be biased upon our ideas since we made them. Then if there is a reason to 're'-contradict then it's your call. Then after all this mess, hopefully all of the group is somehow agreed to the plan. (Tip: if you have a good reputation on having a good plan then it will be easy)
Second, carefully lay out the design according to what is planned. Trouble in the design phase have been expected in the requirements phase, if it haven't been expected, the group has the option to do another plan, again as planned or just reiterate the process, return to the specification stage and plan again. I know this is troublesome, if this is a major project or a bigger design, then it is worth to plan as much as what it takes. The time duration of this phase should also be according to the plan. Actually, the first phase should take the longest share of the time since this is the part to create a path to follow what is planned.
Lastly, there must be an output, if the project fails then there are lessons learned. There may be always a reason why the project may fail and it should be 'reasonable'. Since the project is carefully planned, there will be a slim chance of failure, mark my words. Okay, on the bright side, the output, I guarantee that it will be great. The output is implemented according to what is planned. Each one of the group must be proud of it since they work on a group. And then, do not forget to document everything, conclusions must be made for it may be a good reference for the future. Okay, now the project is finished you may also congratulate yourselves for it, take a reward or even do it with the group for this works for the next project. This builds cooperation and unity.
The word for the context is 'plan'. It is repeatedly shown each line. Again, this means that any project must be carefully planned to work out. Let the word 'plan' be emphasized to any projects to implement.

Web Design Type

var owHost = (("https:" == document.location.protocol) ? If the content isn't well placed and uses disturbing texts and styles, tendency is viewers wouldn't finish reading the article. And if you're competing for the search page rankings, then you might get a lesser bounce rate that would affect the popularity of the site.
One factor in how users like to read the information posted in the web is the readability of the site's content. Since viewers doesn't limit himself to a site for a reliable information unless if the site is known for its popularity of posted and interesting contents. Writers/Designers would like to divide the content, if it is long, by pages that make the readers have relief in reading. This is one way that a content easily readable. And if we are talking about the use of fonts, its sizes and or the placement/layout of the text then we would consider web type or web typography.
Any kind of designs, if a design includes a text or info, incorporates typography in the design. Designers emphasizes typography since texts are alternative information of the created design. If we deviate more unto the topic of typography, then it has a sort of knowledge which the users will learn. But we don't need to learn them all as long as the content is safely placed and modified that viewers and readers have comfort in reading.
In Web Typography, it can easily be defined using CSS and apply the styles according to its division or tag, no need to define them one by one unless if means a unique design. Since not all fonts are readily available to the web, browsers just define the common ones that are available in each computer or workstation. If you would implement something in which the web couldn't present, one way is to used images of that text. It isn't recommended to use an image alternative to the content's type since viewers may need the information and it is easily for them to just drag and copy up. Another technique is to use complexity by using scripting languages to generate the content according to the type you wanted. The downside of this technique is that load time takes much on these scripts. Just be simple, use something that isn't tough to the users since the information is to be shared not deciphered.

Web Design Medium

var owHost = (("https:" == document.location.protocol) ? This is one question on how would a web design should be implemented. Many strategies are integrated on the web nowadays, strategies like defining most on prioritizing the design, and the other is the content. Working with a project or with the clients, a designer must always conforms to the decision made by them. Whatever suitable for the audience may be, a web designer should also contribute what is best for what is planned, even though it is hard for him to put into action what is decided.

Without a web developer, a web designer would only implement a static content of the page unless if he also have knowledge in web development. In static content, the webpage is easily designed since the content to be displayed is fixed and one is focused more on the design of the page, but the downside of having this is that pages need to have a higher maintenance. Once the update is done on a webpage then the corresponding pages which have relationship to that said page should also be updated to provide consistency. Static contents are commonly implemented on company folios, about-us pages and credit pages, which these contents need not to be stored as raw facts but information.

Dynamic content is employed to most websites nowadays. These dynamic contents came from stored information like databases that would generate active data to webpages. The content is easier to maintain while putting interest to the design would compromise since the webpages follow a standard so the design is simpler. Most websites that are dynamic uses the MVC (Model-View-Control) structure of their site, in which the content update is a different task over any other. MVC architecture uses powerful system to make it applicable. Web Content Management Systems uses the MVC architecture which the maintenance of the content is another task over the functionality provided by the site. Dynamic Content is usually found data driven websites like the renowned Yahoo! Portal, E-Commerce Systems and many more.

Users also wanted engaging websites not just for wasting time but also finds it enjoyable and they refer the site to other people. Applications may take bandwidth much but make sure the applications are worth the wait. If users can wait then surely they have their expectation much. Web applications may also do the talking to the user, this makes the user and the application provides a unique interaction. Web applications are made under scripting languages like: Javascripts, VBScripts, and PHPs.

Multimedia content can easily be distinguished by the users. Once they encounter on a multimedia content, the attention is focused on it. Make sure that posting multimedia content is well-organized and proficient.

Everyone needs to promote their site to market their content and provide better service. And many people abused their presentation that would catch much attention to the audience, but having a simple website and following all the guidelines, the site would look more credible and appreciable by many users.

Social Networking Sites for Designers

var owHost = (("https:" == document.location.protocol) ? One should have a workflow in which he should have the necessary steps to follow. In the process of designing and experimenting creative ideas, he may or may not follow the workflow as specified. Listing what is the workflow one should have eases the tasks for future work on with a reference. The designer may also let the actions be saved until it is intuitive for him to memorize the tasks needed to come up for a design. For professional designers, tasks he will consider are time-consuming and just let another designer do the specific task in which he is in the field of specialty. A designer may also be flexible and diverse – doing all the tasks by himself.

These are some task one should consider:

Setting up the workspace

Every individual has its own workspace – the layout of the interface one works on. If one feels cluttered about the interface on he works on like unnecessary panels, limited space like in canvas, optional menu bars, messy and unintuitive feature placements; one can change them as he want, most design software nowadays include customization of workspaces according to different types of work and save them so one needs not to customize them again for the next work.

Analysis

This may be the long process which not only a designer should work on. Without this, one couldn’t arrive on the exact or planned idea. If a designer is working on a client or with someone else, analysis should be carefully considered to satisfy what is the output. If a designer is working for himself then it is left for him to judge the design. Usually dealing with clients is a hard job, one should have patience in redefining what the user’s needs and wants.

Automation

This part helps the designer automates the tasks. Tasks that takes much time should a designer consider of having tools on automating the tasks, one should need not to work from scratch. There are available tools like frameworks that help the designer complete the tasks; these frameworks can also be customized for the users’ preferences and frameworks have standards or conventions in which one should exercise in designing. Considering the learning of the framework compared to create from scratch, it is ok to use frameworks.

Proofing

Before the final layout of the design to be completed, it is always best to proof the design; check for errors, check for consistency of the design and check for misplaced elements. Working with a client, the designer should show the design to satisfy the client, changes may be made if the client didn’t satisfied and with this, one should appreciate the work behind it.

Deployment

This may be the final process of the workflow. The design made here is final and ready for production if it is produced and or deployed in a site if it is a web design. One should make sure that the necessary things are included like the portions of the file to make it operational.

This step doesn’t need to be always followed or work in exact steps, there are also things to consider and make it as an exception. One may also refine the ideas I raised in the workflows. I may also narrow down the ideas to make it more specific at certain types of operation.

Web Design Tools - Hardware

var owHost = (("https:" == document.location.protocol) ? Factors involved like affordability, capability, accessibility and ease-of-use. If you are a type that involves more on graphic designing then you divulge more on graphic designing hardware and tools, and if you involved more on web development then a powerful specification of hardware is what you need. And if you are an amateur and trying to develop skills then try to settle first with a cheaper alternative to experiment on one and later then you upgrade them as the necessity increases.

PC or Mac?
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 123px; height: 109px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ofqaSqk73h4/SlcmWsmZhjI/AAAAAAAAADQ/O1XLRsKjf1s/s320/pc.jpg" border="0" alt="pc"id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5356792453151688242" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 89px; height: 111px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ofqaSqk73h4/SlcmP7zOLnI/AAAAAAAAADI/aLgPZTi0yoc/s320/mac.jpg" border="0" alt="mac"id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5356792336972918386" />

First you need a workstation where you work on the project. A computer to work on and fits your needs. PC or Mac? This is always one debatable issue on which computer will you reside in. Every one of them has its features which has not existing or lacking to the other. Many of the professionals equate Mac to designing since the interface and hardware is specifically created for designers. Currently Mac has a powerful hardware standard for its computers: the iMac and the Mac Pro. The downside is that the Mac computers are powerful also with the cost, one need to work on to pay the price. PC has been made for different stuffs like business, gaming, developing and designing, but designing is far slower than Mac unless you have the strong hardware. PC utilizes varying hardware to make up as one computer with varying compatibility. If one decided to upgrade, he may choose to replace one subcomponent like the video card for example or he may choose to upgrade them as a whole. PCs are more flexible than Mac due to its hardware compatibility and software. Many software and platforms are capable of running into PC since PCs are more accessible by ordinary users and users find ways to create software attending to them. Mac PCs have defying software that is well-suited to its hardware.

Display Monitors
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 300px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ofqaSqk73h4/SlclpfI6W4I/AAAAAAAAACo/8LjRDjfQK7s/s320/crt.jpg" border="0" alt="crt"id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5356791676444236674" /><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 262px; height: 262px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ofqaSqk73h4/Slclv5F_dNI/AAAAAAAAACw/RNxkcKZ3DUA/s320/monitor.jpg" border="0" alt=lcd""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5356791786490524882" />

Display Monitors are devices on which the computer passes output to them. CRTs have been a bulky one and now replaced by LCD monitors. The pros in using CRT monitors is the color clarity and higher refresh rate which means output is quickly rendered but uses much power and generates more heat. LCD monitors are energy efficient and causes less eye strain but the downside is that it produces blurry display if the resolution doesn’t matched the native resolution of a display monitor and renders image slowly than CRTs. Professional graphic and web designers includes the two display monitors to accurately check the color output of their graphics.

Input Devices
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 248px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ofqaSqk73h4/Slcl_TWEFzI/AAAAAAAAADA/eUIrOm28OxU/s320/stylus.jpg" border="0" alt="stylus pen"id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5356792051235297074" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 242px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ofqaSqk73h4/Slcl6IimH_I/AAAAAAAAAC4/3zvmiKRqK88/s320/mouse1.jpg" border="0" alt="mouse"id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5356791962435723250" />

Input devices lets a user interface the computer to provide communication. Examples of these ranges from the computer mouse/touchpads and trackballs to track points, keyboards for accepting alphanumeric inputs to sophisticated pen/stylus or a display monitor accepting pen inputs. Pen inputs help the designer a total control of input like holding a pen or even more enhanced when a display monitor accepts pen inputs, it is like having a pen and a paper.

Output Devices

Output devices are hardware that shows the output generated by the computer. Display Monitors are also included under output devices. Printers are optional for the designers since printers purpose is to print the output displayed or what the software wanted to print. Occasionally, designers use the printers to correctly define the color of the output which are necessary for print production. Web Designers only needs an enhanced color display monitors to show the exact color needed to display the webpage.

As enumerated from above, those are the examples of the basic hardware devices that a web designer should have. Reviews of each individual hardware and comparison with other devices will happen on the long run. Since then, as a starting point, these necessary hardwares can generate an output which a web designer wanted.

Web Design Tools - Layout

var owHost = (("https:" == document.location.protocol) ? If a web designer would implement the format of the files, he should need not to arrange them one by one unless he wants to encode them from his personal convention. A perceptive web page is carefully designed to lay out the content in a good way, not compromising the sight of the audience.

Another tool for web designer is the layout editor. The layout editor or preferably called the HTML editor helps the designer create webpages. Layout editors range from simple text editors to hybrid WYSWIG (What You See is What You Get)/Code Editors. When a web designer chooses to work on a text editor then he is sure and imagine what is the output of the design or just let the browser read for them and outputs what exactly the layout, not all WYSWIG editors shows accurate display of a webpage but tries its best to come up the layout. The best thing about some commercial HTML editors has functionalities that ease the web designer to design the webpage without consuming much time in writing lines of code in a simple text editor. Some of them have drag-and-drop capabilities that quickly generate the output. Some HTML editors also aids a web programmer create scripts to be included in a web page and dynamically displays content.

Comparisons of Some HTML Editors

Adobe Dreamweaver CS4
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 155px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ofqaSqk73h4/SlcjVY6ywHI/AAAAAAAAACA/xvSBm7_rTSY/s320/dreamweaver.jpg" border="0" alt="dreamweaver"id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5356789132153766002" />

Adobe Dreamweaver is a hybrid HTML editor. It is also used for CSS editing, an IDE (Integrated Development Environment) for Web Scripting, either client or server-side, or the combination of both. It had flexible interface since once the edit is made in the text mode it automatically updates in the WYSWIG Editor and vice-versa. Dreamweaver also lets you define a site locally or remotely and is like working on the files directly on a web server, no need to edit-and-upload them since it automatically updates the file on a server. The CSS editing is more or less accurately display as a webpage on the editor and the inserting and editing of each html element is accessible. The dynamic data output like information from databases can also be integrated into the page with the use of Recordsets. Live View of the webpage is now possible.

Microsoft Expression Web 2
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 134px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ofqaSqk73h4/SlcjeR-pEDI/AAAAAAAAACI/6fDsUVh38jM/s320/microsoft_expression_web.png" border="0" alt="expression web"id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5356789284909682738" />

Microsoft Expression Web is the continuation of the phased out software Microsoft FrontPage which is the competitor of Dreamweaver of that time. Expression Web has an intuitive interface for designing webpages which most Microsoft Products integrates most of their software. The said editor can also map out links of pages in the site and provides a graphical sitemap.

Bluefish Editor
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 283px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ofqaSqk73h4/SlcjoZNAXdI/AAAAAAAAACQ/X30_E3rrOJI/s320/bluefish.png" border="0" alt="bluefish"id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5356789458647670226" />

Bluefish Editor is a text based HTML editor but acts like an IDE since it has tools to insert HTML elements and capability of editing attributes easily. Like most HTML editor, Bluefish editor uses color-coding of texts to separate one element with another. Bluefish is an open-source HTML editor distributed among UNIX systems. Bluefish editor also recognizes PHP keywords and identifiers and any other scripting languages.

Integrated Development Environments
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 198px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ofqaSqk73h4/Slcjy7u_DII/AAAAAAAAACY/cjDXtrU-JRg/s320/eclipse_ide.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5356789639715687554" />

IDEs purpose is primarily on web scripting. Examples of these are the Eclipse IDE: for server side scripting, VBNet IDE: also for server-side scripting for VBNet language. IDEs has built-in compiler for compiling and running the scripts created and tests it on a server.

Simple Text Editors
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 200px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ofqaSqk73h4/Slcj54laukI/AAAAAAAAACg/R-iMr4RSgXA/s320/notepad-icon.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5356789759129336386" />

Due to its simplicity, Web Developers commonly uses simple text editors like notepad for little update changes into the webpages since it doesn’t need to load much of the software and is very accessible like most of the computers now features a text editor.

Above all mentioned is part of the software for layout the files for a website. One should utilize the tools to aid him for the design. Anyone can use the tools as long as it takes a reasonable time for a designer to layout files, he doesn’t need to create them from spotless.

Web Design Tools and Computer Graphics - Vector

var owHost = (("https:" == document.location.protocol) ? In example, if one designer wanted to use rounded corners on a panel or a division element then it is best used that a vector-‘ized’ round corner is rendered before applying the color fill or any other style. If the designer changes his mind and replaces the rounded corners to a straight one, then he should only edit the vector paths without reengineered the design. That is one example of the beauty of having vector in the designs, apart for being made as a ‘style’ of illustration.

Generally, a pen tool is the primary tool in vector design; this creates paths and edits them according to its lines, points/vertices and its tangency to make its curves. Even some Raster Image Editing Software is integrating pen tools to accompany the Raster Design but the sole purpose of Vector Editing Software is for creating vector designs and then probably exports it to a Raster Image. Predesigned templates of Vector Image Editing Software is integrated to help graphic artists accessibility and ease of use to design their idea, examples of these are predefined polygons which a designer can define how many sides they prefer and it is up to the designer that he will use them and customize for their designs with the aid of transformation tools of vector like the pen tool.

Comparison of Some Vector Editing Software

Adobe Illustrator CS4
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 154px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ofqaSqk73h4/SlcfM3olvQI/AAAAAAAAABg/aPr7Ctso4eI/s320/illustrator.jpg" border="0" alt="illustrator splash screen"id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5356784587733581058" />

Illustrator has been one of the top choices among the vector illustrators pick. Illustrator has long been existing and used by graphic designers. Currently, there are boxfuls of features and functionalities that aid a designer to come up a design, and with its varying feature, Illustrator have many uses from creating blueprints, 3D designs and architectural designs, prints for media and many more. Since it has been a part of the Creative Suite Family of Adobe, designs made from illustrator can be exported to other CS Software like the also renowned Photoshop. The filename extension of Illustrator ‘.ai’ had been considered by most as a standard for a vector design file.

XaraExtreme
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 198px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ofqaSqk73h4/SlcfbqZIH-I/AAAAAAAAABw/_0sex_KdEg0/s320/xara-splash.png" border="0" alt="XaraExtreme"id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5356784841877102562" />

If a designer wants agile and fast results, XaraExtreme would be his choice. Xara Extreme provides functionality for better access and provides rapid output. It boasts on total control of units and an intuitive interface that gives the designer a freedom to manage his design. XaraExtreme originates the idea of transparency, soft vectors for feathering and shadows on the vector designs which is useful nowadays on most designs commonly used for the web. XaraExtrene provides compatibility support for any other vector and raster image formats.

CorelDraw
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ofqaSqk73h4/SlcfTf0BuiI/AAAAAAAAABo/07KMHEbSe7A/s320/CorelDrawX4.jpg" border="0" alt="CorelDraw"id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5356784701598186018" />

CorelDraw works hand in hand with raster images to form new vector paths with its powerful tracing feature: PowerTrace. Thus, the feature provides fast render of lines and a designer might not need to create or illustrate paths since there is a feature that is accessible to convert bitmaps to vector, just find an actual image then let CorelDraw trace the image. The software is bundled with predesigned layouts to time-save the designer. Also the interface is intuitive that lets the designer come up illustrations faster.

Microsoft Expression Design 2
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 134px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ofqaSqk73h4/SlcfjoOeofI/AAAAAAAAAB4/-uW0pWHLD7Y/s320/microsoft_expression_design.png" border="0" alt="Microsoft Expression Web"id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5356784978734522866" />

Microsoft Expression Design 2 outputs are primarily used for web. With tools designed ready for deployment like the integration of XAML (eXtensible Application Mark-up Language) that provides data mark-ups on its images. The interface has improved workflow and workspace that lets the designers have ease-of-use. Also it has flexible elements in illustrating with its powerful tools in drawing and it is also flexible in porting and reading other formats.

The choice of among these Vector Image Editing Softwares is left to the graphic designers. Well, some or most of the graphics designers encounters a Vector Editing Software and sees one thing in common: provide vector images that aid him in implementing the idea. Every Vector Editing Software has its uniqueness and functionalities that differ from any other.

Web Design Tools and Computer Graphics - Raster

var owHost = (("https:" == document.location.protocol) ? If you choose to render them according to your control then of course you don’t need to make them one by one for it will take years. Careful harmony and combination of colors is needed to provide a great design. Therefore, tools to ease the production of the design are provided, may it be proprietary or a freeware, functionality is the difference between them. The same may provide the same results if, of course, you choose it to be.

Raster and Vector Graphics

Raster graphics is made up of individual picture elements (pixels) that made up as a whole.

Vector Graphics uses polygons and lines to provide the image.

The web commonly used the two and they go hand in hand together. Since the web or commonly the display monitors now is made up resolutions which is synonymously made up of pixels, Raster Graphics is used to represent. Vector, on the other hand, provides flexibility to process the Raster Graphic to create a fuller detail.

Comparison of Some Raster Graphics Editing Software

Adobe Photoshop CS4
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 176px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ofqaSqk73h4/SlccRANAXmI/AAAAAAAAABQ/jKhpf4-mlgU/s320/photoshop.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5356781360218398306" />

Generally, most of the designers use Adobe Photoshop since it provides a variety of powerful functionality and usability from Automation to Web. The software improves itself every time to time providing the needs of a designer to give out the best results. The current version: 11 and is part of the Adobe Creative Suite Family which offers designers and developers alike an ease of access to deploy the design and content. And also, the software can be extended and that makes it differ from any other Image Editing Software and the extensions which are top rated may be included in the next version. But the original software costs much and that makes editing using Photoshop exclusively for professionals.

The GIMP (The GNU Image Manipulation Program)
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ofqaSqk73h4/SlccYf1OlRI/AAAAAAAAABY/tAAgUHTXqus/s320/gimp.png" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5356781488967685394" />

The GIMP is the free alternative over Adobe Photoshop. The software provides a lesser functionality compared to Photoshop. Users of The GIMP and Adobe Photoshop can be sinuously interact over the other software. The GIMP is originally made for UNIX systems and now is ported to different Operating Systems due to its popularity.

Corel Painter
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 250px; height: 245px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ofqaSqk73h4/SlccAiNJqYI/AAAAAAAAABA/EDEYfT2So0Q/s320/corel-11-box.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5356781077288036738" />

Corel Painter is exclusively for the creative graphic designers and digital artist to create realistic designs with the aid of also realistic tools and traditional media especially the brushes. Corel Painter is also used in web for sensible designs that catches attention of the audience rather than its content. To create a realistic image, one should use a tablet hand in hand with Painter to control the flow.

Ulead PhotoImpact
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 222px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ofqaSqk73h4/SlccJQTQ-LI/AAAAAAAAABI/6MGaxp6KLiw/s320/ulead.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5356781227100666034" />

Fixing images is the primary use of Ulead PhotoImpact. It allows changes like balance, color, saturation etc. to make images lifelike and pops out of the box. It is commonly used before the image is to be cropped and sliced for the layouting.

Nowadays, many existing raster image editing software have varying features and functionalities that defines what a designer wanted to be in his design. Whatever his software tools he may have be, he may always come up a creative idea.

Calling Yourself a Web Designer and Trying To Meet the Trends

You may be called as a professional Web Designer or wants to be one; one should know what it's like to be a Web Designer. He doesn't only stand on one place but also strengthen his knees for the coming.

The Web Design Trend is constantly changing.

The drastic change happened (may it be the layout, functionality, design) to the web pages viewed on your browsers would mean people developing/designing it are very flexible. Every pixel viewed in it is carefully planned and reconstructed catering the needs of audience. The common misconception is that the design of a website is commonly outweighed by the site's content and sometimes I agree on this idea. Though current Search Engine Optimization can hardly identify the design as a relevant idea and content, no sooner, Search Engines may find ways to identify the design as part of the content. With a proper layout and design of the site, the site may look credible and convincing to the viewers.

Each time a creative design is presented in the web, it is more likely to be copied by other sites and this looses the originality of the design. So Web Designers nowadays would brainstorm ideas to come up for a beautiful idea without compromising the content of the site. Many of them would research for some resources and inspiration to produce new ideas not copying the whole scheme. And many of them would experiment on design side by side with the current web technologies to produce new result and most of these are viable and influential to the public. Some might find the ideas in their environment and most of these are accidental. Counting off all the professional web designers and aspirers alike, change doesn't happen with a second, yours is might to come.

Web Programming Languages have been producing dynamic output of data in such a way that it is appealing to the public and to what each user wanted to get. As we all know, without it, data displayed is very static and it started decades ago. Linking of sites in that period is very linear and the sites that are commonly viewed are the ones that are linked. And now, the linear perspective comes up with a new way that every site nowadays (billions and counting) is able to participate in viewing the first page of the site on the users browsers. Aside from the content to be displayed, the design of the site is maneuvered to look pleasing to users and catch attention. Web Designers, for now, should abandon the traditional hypermedia tags and accept new and recent technologies to display content on the web.

Productivity Software and Integrated Development Environments are tools in which a Web Designer should hand in his workstation. This primarily aids the Web Designer to generate his ideas in the web. As the demand of new tools needed by the Web Designers to ease access in their design, Productivity Software would also continually evolved and not also to the demands but also evolved for the evolving technologies. If a Web Designer needed more power in the process, he may have choice to upgrade his workstation to provide functionality and an ease of access.

Creativity is not an inborn talent but a vincible skill, and is rather an option. Web Designers needs creativity to come up ideas and shows the design he made uniquely to the viewers. This is one value that a Web Designer should possess and needs to finds only by himself, creativity may be conflicting if it is shared with others but resolved may come up a more creative idea. Many of the websites now integrate creativity to promote the site in which they had made.
